Ingredients

  • 750 g
    Chicken Breasts, cut into strips
  • 60 ml
    Sesame Seeds
  • 120 ml
    Honey
  • ¼ cup
    Oil, for frying
  • 80 ml
    Cornflour
  • 0.25
    Plain Flour
  • 1 tbsp
    Baking Powder
  • ½ cup
    Soda Water, chilled
  • ½ tsp
    Salt

Method

  1. To make the batter, combine the cornflour, plain flour, baking powder, and salt with the soda water and whisk. The batter should be thick and glossy, then allow the batter to rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Once the batter has rested, add the chicken to the batter.
  3. Heat oil until a cube of bread sizzles.
  4. Fry the chicken in batches, but do not overcrowd.
  5. Once Cooked, toss the chicken in the honey and sprinckle on sesame seeds to garnish.
Serve with white rice.
