Hash Brown

Ingredients

  • 1
    Potato, peeled
  • Water, ice cold
  • pinch
    Salt
  • 1½ tbsp
    Cornstarch

Method

  1. Take the potatoes and dice finely.
  2. Place in ice cold water to remove starch.
  3. After a few minutes, strain out the potatoes.
  4. Add pinch of salt, and fry until soft.
  5. Add cornstarch, and mix well.
  6. Mash gently, retaining size of potato chunks.
  7. Form into an ellipse shape.
  8. Deep fry until golden brown.
