Ingredients

  • 1 cup
    Rolled Oats
  • ¾ cup
    Coconut
  • 1 cup
    Plain Flour, sifted
  • 1 cup
    Sugar
  • 2 tbsp
    Water, boiling
  • 1¼ tsp
    Bicarb
  • 125 g
    Butter
  • 1 tbsp
    Golden Syrup

Method

  1. Mix rolled oats, sifted flour, sugar and coconut.
  2. Mix butter and golden syrup in saucepan, stir over low heat until the butter has melted.
  3. Mix soda with boiling water, add the melted butter mixture, stir into ingredients.
  4. Spoon heaped teaspoonfuls of mixture on to greased oven trays; allow room for spreading.
  5. Bake in slow oven (150°C) for 20 minutes.
  6. Loosen on trays while warm, then cool on racks.
